CUSTOMER SUPPORT FAQs

1. I cannot remember my login. How do I reset it? 

1. Select the Log In/Sign Up button located in the upper right corner of your screen. 
2. Once the pop-up appears, click on “Forgot Your Password?”
3. Enter your account email address and click “OK.”
  • Make sure you enter the email associated with your account to ensure you receive a new password.

4. Instructions to reset your password will be sent to your email if you are in our database. 
  • Keep in mind that if you have created an account by social signup (Google account), you can only log in using the corresponding social account.
5. Follow the prompts in the email to create a new password.

2. I requested a new login password, but I did not receive an email. What should I do?

1. Confirm that the email address you provided in the “Forgot Your Password?” form is the same as the one you used to create your account. 
  • Check your email for the introductory email from Therapist Development Center
  • If you created your account by social signup, you can only login using the corresponding social account.
2. If you confirm the email address entered is correct, check your junk/spam folder. 
3. If you still need help, please fill out this form, and someone will get back to you within two (2) business days. If you are still waiting to hear back after two business days, please check your SPAM folder and email us at help@therapistdevelopmentcenter.com

3. How do I connect with my exam prep coach?

The best way to connect with your coach is by submitting your questions through the “Ask a Coach” form, located at the bottom of each course page. (Note: The “Ask a Coach” form is not included in the mock steps, but you can go to any of the steps to ask a coaching question at any time)

GENERAL INQUIRIES FAQS

1. Are there any discounts available for the social work or MFT exam prep programs?

Yes! Not only do we offer discounts on our social work and MFT exam prep programs, but we also match your discount and donate that amount to organizations supporting social justice. To find a discount code and contribute to a great cause, CLICK HERE.

We also recommend reaching out to friends and colleagues who have used TDC and passed their social work or MFT exams. We often provide additional coupon codes for them to share with others.

2. Do you have a pass guarantee?

While we cannot guarantee that you will pass, we promise to support you until you do. If you fail and need to repeat the program, you can do so at no additional charge. You can also reach out to your coach to get support in determining your next steps for studying.

3. Do you organize the material, or am I on my own to figure out what to study? 

We organize the material for you. Many people waste time and energy trying to determine what to study, which is why we designed our program to guide you step by step.

In the first workshop, we review all the steps of the program and provide you with a sample study guide to follow. We also recommend creating a study calendar, so you’ll know exactly what to work on each time you sit down to study.

4. Does Therapist Development Center offer group rates? 

Yes! If you represent a mental healthcare organization or agency that employs social workers or therapists preparing for their licensing exams (or requiring continuing education), we’d love to work with you.

You don’t need to have a group ready to start studying immediately to take advantage of group rates. Many agencies pre-purchase a set number of licenses to receive a discount, distributing them over time as employees become ready to study.

5. How long do you recommend studying? 

Our study systems vary in length depending on the exam. In general, our programs are designed to prepare you to pass in under two months.

We believe other companies promote unnecessary memorization and over-studying, which can lead to burn out and poor performance on exam day. Our programs are designed to maximize learning efficiently.

Each program includes a study plan that you can modify based on your schedule. Some people have completed our program in a week and still passed their exams!

6. How much do exam prep programs cost at Therapist Development Center?

Our individual exam prep programs range from $275 to $375. This includes access to our online program(s) and coaching support until you pass.

If you need to reschedule your exam or retake the program after failing, we provide extensions at no additional cost. Simply submit your request through the Request an Extension form or email our help desk at help@therapistdevelopmentcenter.com

7. How will I know that I’m ready to take the exam? 

The best indicator of readiness is a passing score on your final mock exams. There is a strong correlation between passing our mock exams and passing the actual licensing exam.

If you have concerns about your mock scores or exam readiness, you can reach out to your coach for additional guidance.

8. I failed the exam using another prep course. How do I know yours will be better? 

We hear this question a lot! Many people come to us feeling defeated after studying hard, but still failing.

While we cannot guarantee a passing score (and no company should), we can assure you that our program is significantly different from others.

Our study system is based on the neuroscience of learning. Unlike other programs that rely on a single style of instruction (such as a book, flashcards, or a long lecture), we use multiple dynamic teaching methods that are proven to enhance retention and test performance.

9. I’m a visual learner. Will your program work for me? 

Absolutely! Every audio workshop includes a corresponding handout for you to follow along and take notes with. You’ll be listening and taking notes at the same time.

Unlike traditional in-person workshops, you can pause, rewind, and replay any section as many times as needed to reinforce your learning.

10. Is it true that you have coaches available if I have questions? 

Yes! This is one of the key features that sets us apart—free coaching support.

While using our program, you can submit a question at any time, and one of our coaches will respond. If you feel you need additional help, you can also discuss extra support options with your coach.

11. Should I use other study materials along with TDC? 

No, we do not recommend it, nor do we think it is necessary. TDC’s exam prep programs provide everything you need to pass your licensing exam.

Our materials are organized, structured, and easy to follow. If you complete the program in its entirety, you will have the knowledge and skills needed to PASS WITH CONFIDENCE.

12. What is your pass rate? 

In 2024, our pass rate remained over 95% for both social workers and MFTs who completed our exam prep programs.

13. What makes your program different from others? 

Most prep programs focus on memorization and overwhelm students with excessive, unorganized information.

TDC’s Social Work and MFT exam prep programs shift the focus from memorization to a reasoning-based approach. We teach you how to read and analyze each question, understand what is being asked, and determine the correct answer.

This method not only improves content retention and confidence, but also enhances clinical skills. Our program places a heavy emphasis on test-taking strategies, which are proven to work.

14. Which forms of payment are accepted at Therapist Development Center? 

Therapist Development Center accepts all major credit cards, PayPal

MIGRATION FAQS

1. Why did you change the website?

Our platform was outdated. To enhance our course offerings, and continue serving our growing customer base effectively and securely, we’ve transitioned to a new platform.  

2. Are the materials on the new website the same as the previous site?

YES, the materials are the same.

3. What if I need an extension on my program?

If you are testing before July 31, 2026, and requesting an extension, we will provide it on the previous website, www.June2026.therapistdevelopmentcenter.com

If you need an extension for a test date after September 1st, create an account, then submit a transfer form and we will transfer you to this new website. 

4. What if I need a reset of my program after failing my exam?

First, create a new account on our new platform. Second, email a copy of your exam score report to help@therapistdevelopmentcenter.com

Once you’ve created a new account and submitted your score report, our customer support team will add the reset course to your new account.

5. How will I reach my coach with questions?

You can still contact your coach by filling out the “Ask a Coach” form. A green “Ask a Coach” button is on each program page's right side, directly above the announcement section. You can also scroll down to the bottom of each program page to complete the “Ask a Coach” form.

6. What if I want to transition to the new website? 

First, create an account on the new website. After you create an account on the new website, fill out this transfer form and we will add your purchased programs into your new account.

7. If I transition to the new site, will I have access to my completed mock exams? 

You will NOT be able to access your mock results. If you want to review them, you will need to print copies before transitioning to the new website. Once you have access to your program on the new website, you will lose access to your older account.

8. How can I obtain a copy of my CE certificates?

There are two ways. If you completed your course on the previous website, you can login to www.July2026.therapistdevelopmentcenter.com and download a copy (this option is only available through July 31, 2026). Additionally, we maintain copies of all certifications of completion. Email help@therapistdevelopmentcenter.com to request a copy of your continuing education certificate for successfully completed courses.
