1. What are the CE renewal requirements in my state?
The renewal requirements vary state by state. Please check with your state’s licensing board for the most up-to-date and accurate information.
2. Can I use the 3-hour Telehealth for both my Telehealth and L&E requirements?
Yes, in California the BBS allows you to count the telehealth course for both the telehealth and law & ethics continuing education requirements. We always recommend you check with your licensing board for the most up-to-date information.
3. How long do I have access to my continuing education courses?
You have access to your courses for 2 years from the date of purchase.
4. Can I take the same continuing education courses for more than one renewal?
The renewal requirements vary state by state. Please check with your state board on specific requirements.
5. Can I use the same certificate and just have you update the date for various renewals?
You will need to repurchase the course for a certificate with a new date.
6. Are your continuing education courses approved for Social Workers, Professional Clinical Counselors, and MFTs?
TDC is an approved CE provider through the ASWB ACE program and New York State’s Education Department.
Each state has different rules and regulations for licensees and continuing education. It will depend on your state’s licensing board. We encourage you to review your licensing board’s rules for the most accurate data.
7. If I am a supervisor in California and have completed the 15-hour Supervision course, what are the requirements for future renewal periods?
In California, you are required to complete 6 hours of supervision-related continuing education courses each subsequent renewal period. Please note that you cannot double count a law and ethics or supervision course, meaning a 6 hour supervision course cannot be used for your law and ethics requirement and vice versa.
8. You have an 18-hour renewal package, but I need 36 hours. What other courses can I take?
You can supplement with other courses from our CE library that also meet your state’s requirements.
9. Do I need to take a L&E CE every year?
In California, you are required to take a 6-hour law and ethics course each renewal period. TDC’s law and ethics continuing education courses fulfill this requirement. While many states require a law and ethics course each renewal period, each state has different continuing education requirements, so we recommend checking with your state’s licensing board to determine your specific requirements.
